Some teams never seem to stop moving. They're on Attio, the agentic CRM.

It’s your always-on revenue engine: agents and workflows build pipeline, chase every buying signal, and move deals forward alongside your team.

Teams like Parallel, Turbopuffer, and Wordsmith build on Attio. Are you one of them?

Welcome back. This week the database read less like a growth story and more like a reshuffle: three companies sold divisions, two combined into one, and the capital that did move went overwhelmingly into debt and project finance rather than venture rounds.

Below: the forage merger that created a global leader, a nuclear SPAC that priced at $2.4 billion, and more than $1 billion in disclosed new financing across fertilizer, storage and water.

This Week's Paid Edition: Under Glass

Our latest premium edition takes the greenhouse sector apart year to date — 142 records through 22 September against 89 for the same window in 2025 — and finds four changes that hold up across categories. Funding reached more companies in smaller amounts, with deal count up by half and average deal size down 40%, even as equity and convertible rounds on their own rose 42% to $65.6 million. Ownership changes doubled to 10, half of them asset acquisitions — a category with no 2025 entries at all, and three of the five involving distressed or financially-owned assets. Activity also broadened from 16 countries to 23, with the United States and Netherlands share falling about seven points, and crop tagging widened from 11 distinct values to 27. Partnerships remained the largest single activity type, still led by product integration.

I. Weekly Pulse: The Impact Scorecard

  • Standlee and Anderson Hay form Standlee-Anderson: Two of the largest premium forage companies combined under a parent structure, pooling supply networks while each brand keeps its own identity. Terms were not disclosed.

  • newcleo lists on Nasdaq at a $2.4 billion pre-money valuation: The lead-cooled fast reactor and MOX fuel developer closed its SPAC combination with NewHold Investment Corp III, raising $247 million gross and taking total funding past $1 billion.

  • Vanguard Renewables buys Generate Upcycle's North American platform: The deal creates a 19-site food waste-to-RNG operator and nearly doubles Vanguard's capacity, adding roughly 565,000 tons of annual processing. Close is expected October 1, 2026.

  • Titan International sells ITM to USCO S.p.A. for about $285 million: The undercarriage carve-out leaves Titan focused on its core wheel and tire business and hands USCO a scaled position in construction, mining and agricultural undercarriage.

  • Anyang Indorama Gases lines up RMB 2.4 billion for fertilizer capacity: A five-bank consortium is funding a Phase II expansion that aims to roughly double urea output to about 2 million tonnes a year by 2029 — the week's largest single financing.

II. Tier 1: Corporate & Financial Shifts

The week's defining pattern was subtraction. Titan International signed a definitive agreement to sell its ITM (Italtractor ITM) undercarriage business to Italy's USCO S.p.A. for roughly $285 million in total cash value — a $207 million initial price, up to $6 million of earnout tied to 2026 performance, about $23 million of net asset adjustments and $49 million in dividends — closing early January 2027 [West Chicago, Illinois, United States]. Generate Capital sold its Generate Upcycle anaerobic digestion platform in two pieces: seven UK facilities to Pinta Energy, and five North American sites in Ontario and upstate New York to Vanguard Renewables [Weston, Massachusetts, United States], which is backed by Global Infrastructure Partners. EYKON AG sold its water meter business to sister AURELIUS portfolio company Sensus International [Cham, Switzerland], and Belgium's Bi-PA sold EMEA rights for its TEMAP biofungicide to Nichino Europe [Londerzeel, Belgium]. [Structural Impact]: financial owners and diversified industrials are both trading breadth for focus, and strategic buyers are absorbing the pieces at scale rather than bidding against sponsors.

Consolidation ran the other way in forage and water. Standlee and Anderson Hay formed Standlee-Anderson [Kimberly, Idaho, United States], and H2O America's Texas Water Company cleared regulatory approval to acquire the Cibolo Valley wastewater plant from South Central Water Company, more than doubling its wastewater connections to serve roughly 90,000 people [San Jose, California, United States].

Capital was abundant but debt-weighted. Beyond newcleo [Paris, France] and the RMB 2.4 billion (c. US$358 million) loan to Anyang Indorama Gases from a consortium led by OCBC Bank with Bank of China and China CITIC Bank [Anyang, China], Form Energy closed a $270 million credit facility structured by Barclays and expandable to $1 billion [Weirton, West Virginia, United States]. Rainmaker raised a $100 million Series B from NOA VC, Upfront Ventures, DCVC and Lowercarbon Capital [El Segundo, California, United States]; Vaulted Deep took $35 million in debt from Mediobanca [Houston, Texas, United States]; and Fluxnium raised a $7 million seed led by Congruent Ventures. ADM moved to monetize over 800,000 tons of annual engineered CO2 removal capacity via Puro.earth certification and Tallgrass sequestration [Chicago, Illinois, United States].

III. Tier 2: Innovation & Public Strategy

1. Go-to-Market & Product Launches

ADAMA Ltd. will launch Actagon®, a ready-mix pre-emergent of pyroxasulfone and metribuzin targeting resistant Phalaris minor in wheat, starting in Punjab and Haryana [India] — one pre-emergence pass replacing grower tank-mixes. Redox Bio-Nutrients added RDX-Flex™, a shelf-stable 10% urea-nitrogen foliar built on its botanical-extract platform to complement soil-applied RDX-N [Burley, Idaho, United States]. Haffner Energy unveiled SB-HEFA, converting solid biomass to renewable diesel and SAF without a gasification step, on feedstock costing roughly five times less than used cooking oil — which it says cuts production cost about 50% [Vitry-le-François, France]. Infinium extended into methane feedstocks with mSAF [Sacramento, California, United States]. Pylontech began mass production of 588Ah and 601Ah LFP cells [Hefei, China], Qnetic started full-scale testing of its Pulsar flywheel [New York, United States], and BiomeRenewables Inc. won a US patent allowance covering FeatherEdge turbine technology [Toronto, Canada].

2. Institutional & Regulatory Plays

Public money and incumbent distribution did the de-risking this week. Agrobio credited CDTI Innovación and ERDF (FEDER) grants with breaking the scale bottleneck in rearing predatory mites and beneficial insects [Spain], and Fervo Energy secured roughly $20 million across two U.S. Department of Energy awards for enhanced geothermal in Idaho and Nevada. California proclaimed a state of emergency to let water agencies prepare for a Super El Niño, per the Association of California Water Agencies [Sacramento, California, United States]. Georgia Power's Nuclear Uprate tariff agreement with Google — about 96 MW added at Plants Hatch and Vogtle — is projected to return roughly $900 million to all customers, subject to Public Service Commission approval. On distribution, Vivent made Belgium's Arvesta its exclusive Benelux partner [Renens, Switzerland], Edible Garden AG won a Walmart distribution center serving the Upper Midwest [Belvidere, New Jersey, United States], and Bridge Green Upcycle signed a $500 million+ recycled-lithium offtake with Hartree Partners [Binghamton, New York, United States]. Kernel added 40,000 tons of modular grain storage as strikes throttled Ukraine's export corridors to about 1.4 million tons a month [Kyiv, Ukraine], while Bestzyme [Jinan, China], Planet Labs [Berlin, Germany], CATL [Debrecen, Hungary] and Envision Energy [Benguerir, Morocco] each brought new facilities online.

IV. Tier 3: Market Signals & Operations

  • Research, Studies & Lawsuits: Idaho Copper Corporation cleared its final U.S. Forest Service hurdle to begin up to 15,000 feet of core drilling at the CuMo copper-molybdenum project [Boise County, Idaho, United States]. Hylenr completed Phase 1 validation of its lattice confinement fusion reactor with Texas A&M University's Department of Nuclear Engineering. Enphase Energy, Inc. now holds IQ Meter Collar approval from 80 utilities across the U.S. and Canada, and Verde Hydrogen passed 760 days of continuous operation on its 5,000 Nm³/h electrolysis system [Ningdong, China].

  • Organizational Health: Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. named Kevin Zidron Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer and Brad Hartzell Chief Supply Chain Officer, Hartzell succeeding Earl Larson after nearly 22 years [Lakeville, Massachusetts, United States]. TreadStone Technologies named Eric Shepardson Chief Executive Officer, with co-founder Gerald DeCuollo moving to Executive Chairman [Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, United States]. Rainmaker Worldwide Inc. appointed Kelly White Director and Treasurer [Las Vegas, Nevada, United States].
