Adecoagro Acquires Caarapo Mill for $148M: Adecoagro agreed to acquire Brazil's Caarapo Mill in Mato Grosso do Sul, expanding its sugar-ethanol cluster. The deal is subject to approval from Brazil's antitrust regulator, CADE, and is expected to close before October 1, 2026.
Acumen Secures $90M for African Farming: The Acumen Resilient Agriculture Fund raised $90 million from the Green Climate Fund, FMO, Proparco, Swedfund, BIO and FASA to expand climate-resilient farming finance, aiming to reach 4 million additional farmers.

Canada's Acumen Resilient Agriculture Fund secured $90 million from the Green Climate Fund, FMO, Proparco, Swedfund, BIO and FASA to expand climate-resilient farming finance across Africa, aiming to reach at least 4 million additional farmers. Ever.Ag extended Everett, its agentic AI decision engine, into agribusiness — the third wave of its rollout — with additional dairy and livestock products expected to gain Everett capabilities in the months ahead.

Partnership activity spanned crop inputs to agribusiness infrastructure. Amoeba extended its biofungicide distribution deal with Koppert through 2031, covering 18 European countries and the US following France's ANSES authorization for its AXPERA product. Agragene licensed Pairwise's Fulcrum CRISPR platform for its sterile-insect pest-control technology, and Elicit Plant and Mosaic Biosciences signed a joint-development deal on a canola water-stress solution shown to cut crop water use by up to 20%. Replenish Nutrients entered a $15 million strategic investment agreement with SRC Agrominerals to fund a new pelletizing facility in Beiseker, Alberta, and Koch Ag & Energy Solutions formed a joint venture with OCP Nutricrops to invest in Jorf Fertilizer production. Tecnimont won a €1.3 billion EPC contract to build Argentina's largest urea complex, and Tiryaki Agro signed an MOU with the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority on agricultural trade infrastructure across the Horn of Africa. Research, Studies & Certifications: USDA opened a call for university and industry partners to build AI tools that speed crop-trait discovery, and Canada's Genome BC funded three research projects protecting British Columbia crops from pests and pathogens. Solynta won Kenyan approval for its SOLHY023 hybrid true potato seed variety, and Agreena's AgreenaCarbon soil-carbon project earned a BBB BeZero Carbon Rating covering roughly 5 million hectares across 20 countries.
