Yes, that Arnold Schwarzenegger.
He has a newsletter on beehiiv. So do Codie Sanchez, Jay Shetty, David Begnaud, Colin & Samir, and Joanna Stern.
They could publish just about anywhere. They chose beehiiv to build a direct connection with the people who want to hear from them most. And you can do the same, whether you’re world-famous or just at the start of your plan for world domination.

September 2026 left 227 land-based agriculture and agtech records in the iGrow Intelligence database, against 199 for September 2025. Recorded agriculture funding ran the other way, falling from $2,802.2M across 30 funding actions to $1,403.8M across 12. Ownership changes held at 11 in both months, partnerships rose from 39 to 44, and product unveils rose from 27 to 42.
This edition covers land-based agriculture and agtech only. Aquaculture, energy and water are tracked separately and excluded here. It compares September 1 to 30, 2026 with September 1 to 30, 2025, and adds a year-to-date view running January 1 to October 10 in each year, October 10 being the most recent date the database holds.
2025 records are still being backfilled, so raw volume gaps overstate growth. Shares of activity are the more reliable measure, and this edition uses them wherever the base is large enough. A second caution applies this year. The database added energy and water beats during 2026, so September 2025 was almost entirely agriculture, at 199 of 204 records, while September 2026 was a third agriculture, at 227 of 692. Agriculture's falling share of the database tracks what the database now covers.
The database snapshot
227 Agriculture and agtech records in September 2026, against 199 in September 2025 | $1.40B Recorded agriculture funding across 12 actions, against $2.80B across 30 | 11 Ownership changes, the same count as September 2025 |
Records count every tracked agriculture entry, from funding and acquisitions through partnerships, launches, facility openings and appointments. Funding counts all recorded instruments, so government programs, loans, grants and awards sit alongside venture equity. Ownership changes combine mergers and acquisitions, asset acquisitions, divestitures and spinoffs, each counted once even where the database holds several records for one transaction.
North America took two thirds of the month, and Europe’s share halved
North America carried 148 of September's 227 agriculture records, 65.2%, against 102 of 204 a year earlier, 50.0%, in a month where agriculture was 199 of the 204. Europe moved the other way, holding 40 records, 17.6%, against 67, 32.8%. Asia was flat at 18 against 17, and the Middle East rose to 11 from 9 on seven crop-protection records. South America held 5 against 4, Oceania fell to 1 from 4, and Africa is the month's new entrant with 4 records against none. Seven regions appeared against six. Only three countries carry September's priced agriculture funding, the United States, China and Switzerland, against ten last year.
Crop tagging widened to 40 distinct tags from 33. Corn led both months and pulled away, reaching 15 records once the Maize tag is added in, against 5. Grapes followed at 6 across three spellings, then Soybean and Rice at 5 each, Wheat and Cotton at 4, and Sugarcane, Citrus and Tomato at 3. Last September's leaders were Corn at 5, Rice at 4, and Soybean and Tomato at 4 each once variants are combined. Those variants matter, because the database holds Corn and Maize, and Grape, Grapes and Table Grapes, as separate tags.
